Last night – around 11pm Nathan was rushed to Sick Kids for a abdominal distension – meaning fat belly.
He wasn't pooping – so all the farts were backing up. They have really fancy names for these things – but I am trying to spare the jargon.
The causes for this can be numerous – the most panicking (and least likely) is cystic fibrosis.
The most likely – Hirschsprung's Disease –
He is stable – after releaving the pressure the immediate danger has passed. Now comes all the tests and waiting.
Probable outcome right now: surgery.
I will try to update as I know.
